Where Bearings stands today
We're building Bearings in public, from the first vocabulary entry to launch. No private health data is ever shown here, just the work. Updated as we go.
Collecting how real patients describe their symptoms in their own words. Every response makes the translation layer smarter.
The core of Bearings: a structured map from patient language ("swimmy," "like I'm on a boat") to clinical terminology and the right specialist. Sourced from patient communities, published research, and survey responses.
Reviewing map entries with vestibular specialists so the routing logic reflects how clinicians actually think.
The design system and clickable prototype are complete: calm by default, low motion, built for low-energy days. Each screen gets a final pass as it is built for real.
Daily check-ins, the episode log, brief sharing, full data export, and account deletion all work today, each shipped behind automated privacy guardrails. Pre-launch verification is what remains.
A one-page summary of your symptoms, patterns, and questions, in language your doctor can act on. Built and generating briefs in the app today; it gets sharper as the map grows.
